Upcoming Projects: Target Stands, Silhouettes & Sling

Firearms Training

We have a few projects in the works here at Missouri Firearms. Stay tuned for us to post tutorials and photos of what we’re up to and how it can help you.

Due to budget constraints, our first project will be a simple one that we can implement for free, building target stands and dressing up targets with civilian and bad guy silhouettes. This is a common occurrence in IDPA matches and can help with split-second decision making when working a course of fire that is unknown.

Within the next two months, we’re hoping to start another project, building a single-point sling. We’re still deciding if we should use one inch or one and a half inch nylon webbing. We’re also in conflict as to what design we should choose to build and whether to use durable plastic hardware or metal hardware. The weight of plastic is enticing, but the durability of metal is hard to beat. Considering the sling is mainly for two-gun matches and that I don’t plan on using it for professional use, we’re thinking that plastic should do the trick. All the pieces should come in at around $15, which is exciting to us!

Enough talking about what we’re going to be doing, time to get to work on the tutorials and photos. Stay Tuned!
