The original version that went to the senate would have lowered the CCW age to 18, but democrats from urban districts thought that such a low age would increase gun violence in Missouri. Hasn’t every democrat been educated that CCW holders must have finger prints on file, pass a firearms course, and not have a felony record! Shouldn’t that make people who carry firearms more responsible than most? To compromise, republicans pushed the age back to 21. – Yet an 18 year old can still defend our country with automatic weapons, tanks and jets; but they can’t carry a concealed handgun!
