After A Nuclear Attack

Survival

If a nuclear explosion happens on US soil, don’t expect federal response within the first 72 hours! This means that wherever the blast happens, it will be up to local government to provide assistance, even though disaster experts say “local governments aren’t prepared for a nuclear attack”.

The best thing a civilian can do right after a nuclear blast is to stay indoors, shielded from nuclear fallout, and await instructions. With this in mind, one must be prepared with a good supply of water and food, preferably stored in the basement of your house, which would provide the most shielding from nuclear fallout.
